As an inter-departmental initiative between VSJMC and VSIT, a workshop on Dream Weaver was organized by New Media Faculty for VSJMC fifth semester students on 18th October 2019 at Moot Court, 7th Floor, Block B from 2 pm to 4 pm. Ms Aastha Bhardwaj from VSIT was the main resource person assisted by four of her MCA final year students. The main objective of the workshop was to give students basic knowledge and hands-on practice of website designing software with an expert. 85 students attended the workshop. The workshop started with an introduction to HTML coding followed by an introduction to the Dreamweaver software. The students were given hands-on-training about HTML coding and Dreamweaver software. The students were asked to make a demo website during the workshop with the help of the trainer present. At the end of the session, feedback forms were circulated and students were asked to fill it. They found the topic very relevant and the session helpful for implementing the theoretical aspects of designing a website into practicality. The session was highly interactive and all the queries of the students were answered properly. Overall the feedback by the students was very positive and they opined that more such sessions should be organized.
